Effective May 4, 2020 I am back to practice, while following the guidelines set out by the ACAC and Alberta Health Services. Below is a brief summary of what to expect at your next visit with Calgary Chiropractor Dr. Elaine Screaton:
I will be wearing a surgical mask at all times within the clinic, as will any staff who are unable to maintain 2m distancing at all times.
As of July 6 2021, the City of Calgary has repealed its Mask Bylaw, meaning patients are not required to wear a mask, however they are strongly recommended.
I am required to pre-screen each of my patients for symptoms of COVID 19. Anyone screening positive will not be able to receive treatment at this time, and will be required to phone 811 for further information
Do you have a cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath?
Have you travelled internationally in the past 14 days? Please note, Calgary International Airport is offering rapid testing on arrival to yyc. Even if you test negative twice, shortening your mandatory quarantine, you are still not permitted to received treatment until 14 days have passed.
Have you been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID?
Are you currently awaiting testing, or awaiting test results for COVID 19?
Have you been instructed to self isolate by AHS?
Each staff member and practitioner will undergo screening criteria before each shift, anyone screening positive must self isolate and follow AHS directive.
Handwashing, Handwashing, Handwashing! There will be much washing of hands. I will wash my hands before and after seeing you, before and after cleaning the treatment rooms, and before and after donning my mask and before and after doffing my mask.
Each patient is required to wash their hands upon entry into the clinic.
Each treatment room will be disinfected with a Health Canada approved disinfectant before each patient visit. High touch points in the clinic will also be disinfected regularly.
Our reception desk has been fitted with a plexiglass barrier for everyone's safety.
We are encouraging contactless payment wherever possible. We will be ONLY emailing receipts
Please do your best to arrive only a few minutes before your appointment time. We will do our best to move you directly into a treatment room. If this is not possible, you may be instructed to wait in our physically-distanced waiting room. If you prefer, you may also wait outside or in your vehicle and we can call you when we are able to accommodate you in the treatment rom.
Because of enhanced disinfecting & cleaning practices, late arrivals may not be able to be accommodated and may be required to reschedule your appointment. Please do you best to arrive on time!
